Validation is a documented evidence that a method or process is correct for its intended purpose
Verification is the confirmation of the validation method or process that it meets its predefined requirements
Validation and verification both are done for ensuring a Method
Where else, Validation is done for the first time when the Method is developed by proofing it's specificity, repeatability and all that comes under the parameters
If you want to do a validation for the Method, the Method that is developed should not have any previous validation.
Whereas, verification is just an ensuring procedure that is it is done for the method that is already validated but if you wants to do it in your lab, you will check the main parameters like specificity, repeatability, Accuracy
So, overall the Developed method that is not having any validation is done for Method validation where as verification is done for already existing validated methods that may be pharmacopoeial
It also depends on the formulation of your product
If your product formulation is different and changed in any case, you should do a complete validation
Validation required for In-house developed method and when you taken pharmacopoeial method the you need to just verify y
