Here all we will confuse in this question
As i have been working with the Workig standard analysis, I could give you the answer as per my experience and analytical knowledge with han example
Assume your % Assay of As-is basis (As such) is 100%
You could calculate potency of the drug by dried basis or anhydrous basis
Dried basis = (100-Loss on drying)
Anhydrous basis = (100- water content)
Where as purity of drug involves removing the impurities Percentage of your sample
For example, Percentage of total impurities of your analysed sample is 0.57%
Then the Purity of your sample is
Purity of the compound = 100-(Percentage of impurities)
Therefore in the above eample, Purity is 100-0.57=99.43%
Here, the purity of compound can be calculted in number of ways
you can remove residual solvents or anyother impurities as per your requirement
