To calculate RRF in HPLC or GC , we need to know RTs of the peaks
you have unknown RT at 2.395 and your main peak is 6.985
To know RRT of unknown, u divide RT of unknown by RT of main peak is 2.935/6.985
Gives you the answer
Irrespective to HPLC and GC, you can calculate using this formulae
For more information, go through the videos section, you will find explanation of this formulae
Calculation of RRT (Relative Retention Time) is similar in HPLC/GC/GC-MS.
RT (retention time) of Unknown peak divide by RT of Known peak (Active peak) gives you the RRT.
Whereas RRF is entirely different to RRT. RRF is Relative Retention Factor, its the Response Factor (RF) of a unknown peak to the RF of Active Peak.
RRF helps us to Quantify the Impurities (Known or Unknown).
